
Christopher J. Andren brings over 20 years of experience in analytical chemistry and polymer formulation development. In the role of Senior Director-Technology, Christopher helps clients solve difficult problems by designing analytical investigations.
At Chemir he has held numerous roles, including Analytical Chemist, Project Leader and Director. He coordinated the execution of project design strategies and provided final technical review of a wide variety of investigations. Christopher has helped clients in many industries, including plastic and polymers, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and medical device, and industrial and consumer chemical products.
His specialty is the analysis of polymer formulations, including identification, characterization and quantification of a samples’ base matrix, stabilizers, processing aids, plasticizers, curing agents, flame retardants, etc. Additional polymer expertise includes failure investigations, evaluation of formulation equivalency, stability, extractable and leachable studies and assessments for packaging compatibility.
He began his career AlliedSignal Engineered Materials Research Center as a research and development chemist. Christopher has also served as a Staff Scientist in Research and Development at BASF Corporation, supervising a commercial development team in custom product formulations.
While at Chemir, he has participated in multiple litigation support activities requiring depositions and expert witness testimony.
