Grease Trap Testing

Are grease trap issues draining your profits?

Owners of grease interceptors, also known as grease traps, need to be assured that their models perform to industry specifications.  A certified grease trap means that your unit efficiently removes grease at its rating, getting you the best return on your investment.

Chemir Analytical Services is the certified laboratory for the rating of grease interceptors as we have been providing testing services for certification for over 20 years.  Our laboratory is PDI, IAPMO, and CSA approved and capable of testing units less than 10 GPM to 100 GPM.

Certifications:

CSA (Canadian Standards Association)

IAPMO (International Association of Plumbers and Mechanical Officials)

PDI (Plumbing and Drainage Institute)

How Grease Traps Are Tested:

For certification by the desired agency (PDI, IAPMO, and/or CSA), manufacturers are required to periodically submit grease interceptors to our laboratory for testing. In our facility, we install the trap into a compliant drainage system and verify its rating or capacity to efficiently remove grease to that agency’s standard.

By our rigorous, documented procedures we provide our clients the data they need to obtain and maintain certification for each unit design.
