Grease Trap Testing

Are grease trap issues draining your profits?

Owners of grease interceptors, also known as grease traps, need to be assured that their models perform to specifications (PDI, IAPMO or other certifying agencies). A certified grease trap means that your unit efficiently removes grease at its rating, getting you the best return on your investment.

Chemir Analytical Services is the certified laboratory for the rating of grease traps as we have been providing testing services for certification for over 20 years.  Our laboratory PDI and IAPMO approved and capable of testing units less than 10 GPM to 100 GPM.

Certifications:

PDI (Plumbing and Drainage Institute)

IAPMO (International Association of Plumbers and Mechanics)

How Grease Traps Are Tested:

Each manufacturer periodically and randomly selects one unit from each design and submits this unit to our laboratory for efficiency testing and certification.  The unit is installed into a system similar to a drainage system found in a restaurant.

The unit is then run through a series of rigorous, documented and referenced operational tests to verify its rating or capacity to remove grease efficiently.  Once the unit has passed these stringent tests at our laboratory, it is considered officially certified.  A seal of approval and certificate are then issued to the manufacturer by the certifying agency. A certified grease trap indicates a reliable and quality unit and the best return on your grease interceptor investment.
