Chemir makes the 2007 Inc 5,000 List

Inc. today ranked Chemir No. 1807 on its first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country with a three-year sales growth of 200%. "The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy – the entrepreneurial part," said Inc. 5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy." 

Chemir was founded in 1959 and purchased by Shri Thanedar in 1990. Today the company has over 200 employees and multiple divisions, with expansion fueled by steady internal growth and well-timed acquisitions. "It is exciting to be recognized by the 2007 Inc. 5,000", says Shri Thanedar, Ph.D., owner and chairman of the Chemir companies. "This award represents national recognition of our phenomenal growth in the past three years."
