Chemir Provides Furan Testing for the Food Processing Industry

May 13, 2004, St. Louis, MO - Chemir Analytical Services offers testing for the presence of furan in food products. According to the FDA, furan has been identified in foods that have been heat treated, such as products in cans or jars. Furan is listed as possibly carcinogenic to humans by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).
