Chemir CEO Named to List of Influentional Minority Business Leaders
St. Louis, MO - Shri Thanedar, Ph.D., CEO of Chemir Analytical Services has been recognized as one of St. Louis's Most Influential Minority Business Leaders. The St. Louis Business Journal honors ethnic minorities who are making their mark on the region. Sponsored by Irwin Union Bank, Paric and Webster University, Thanedar joins an elite list of St. Louis leaders for an awards luncheon on March 10 at the Sheldon Concert Hall.
Dr. Thanedar grew up in India, obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Akron, and purchased Chemir in 1990. The company has expanded into an independent testing laboratory with dramatic increases in sales, number of employees, and analytical capabilities. Dr. Thanedar retains strong links to the Indian community and remains the current president of BMM of North America, Inc., an organization that supports and enhances the culture of India both nationally and in the St. Louis area.
