Chemir Purchases PRA Laboratories: Expands Coatings Testing
February 2, 2004, St. Louis, MO - Chemir Analytical Services, a St. Louis area based chemical analysis testing laboratory, has purchased PRA Laboratories, Inc., located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Established in 1943, PRA Laboratories provides research and development support to the paints and coatings industry, including product formulation, synthesis and problem solving.
Manufacturers of paints, coatings and inks rely on outside laboratories for sophisticated analytical instrumentation and technical expertise. The Detroit area facility has long been a resource for product formulation evaluation, raw material assessments, resin design/synthesis and characterization of coatings, inks and polymers.
