New people, new instrumentation and a new look for our website. Read about how these developments will lead to an exciting start for the new year.
Chemir Analytical Services has a powerful new tool for materials characterization, with the acquisition of a Varian Mercury Plus 400 MHz NMR Spectrometer. This state-of-the-art instrument is equipped with a 4 nucleus probe and the most recent and reliable software available. It has the ability to collect 1-D and 2-D data. Our new NMR can perform pulsed field gradient experiments, allowing for more rapid collection of spectra with increased sensitivity. This new equipment makes it possible for our scientists analyze samples more efficiently.
We welcome two new business development specialists to Chemir Analytical Services. Julie Barone, based in New York, will serve as Chemir’s East Coast representative. Barone has professional technical and sales experience primarily in the home, health and beauty, polymers, plastics and coatings industries. Shane Cochran, based in St. Louis, will serve Chemir’s clients in the Midwest and Western states. Cochran brings a technical background in the food, beverage, and nutrition industries as well as expertise in analytical instrumentation. Both will help develop Chemir’s sales plans, work with new and existing customers and represent the company at regional and national trade shows.
We recently renovated our website, www.chemir.com, to reflect a renewed sales and marketing focus on the home, health and beauty, food/beverage, plastics/polymers and packaging industries. The new website details our non-routine investigative services including deformulation, materials identification, contaminant identification, failure analysis, packaging testing, formulation and product support. Case studies are also highlighted to illustrate our practical, problem-solving capabilities.
“The goal was to create a website that could be easily navigated and convey our commitment to these industries,” explains Dave W. Riggs, PE, President of Chemir. “When manufacturers experience questions of quality, failures, customer complaints or legal challenges, Chemir Analytical Services can provide answers. The new website clearly illustrates our capabilities and how we can help clients.”
