Chemir is seeking a Business Development Director for the Northeast region of the United States. Candidate should preferably reside in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania or Delaware.
Projects and Customer Interactions
1. Interact with the client, as needed, by phone, email and on a face-to-face basis.
2. Promote industry awareness of Chemir Analytical Services by participating in client visits, trade shows, consultations, and/or by generating industry publications and presentations.
3. Review quotes, reports, and internal communications as necessary
4. Assist Quoters and Operations with client contact and technical discussions when needed.
Communication and Leadership
1. Establish leadership through accurately provisioned leads, project quotes and increasing project win rates with high rewards for the company.
2. Recommend ways of optimizing future quoting, revenue generation and/or business development.
3. Provide internal company consultation regarding issues/requirements within core area(s) of expertise (med device, pharma, biotech, polymers/plastics, fine chemicals, food science)
4. Ability to effectively function in fast-paced, dynamic technical environment
Qualifications and Experience
1. B.S. in Chemistry or related technical field with at least 5 yrs. industry experience
2. Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
3. Broad knowledge of lab capabilities and service offerings (technical credibility)
4. Passion for science and customer support
5. Demonstrated ability to promote services to customers to gain sales using Sandler Sales method or related "value pricing" sales methodology
6. Experience and proficiency with MS Office, databases, email and basic computer skills.
7. Proven record of successful revenue generation and marketing experience in targeted industry sector.
8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as necessary to accommodate customers and win profitable business for Chemir, and designated affiliates.
